Today, 2 June, 2025, the Honourable Minister of Education – Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa alongside H. E. Dr. Hajo Sani, OON, met with UNESCO ADG Education – Ms Stefania Giannini, to hold discussions on mutual cooperation between Nigeria and UNESCO in the education sector and thereafter paid a visit to the office of the Permanent Delegation of Nigeria.
The Honorable Minister is currently in Paris to attend the meeting of the Board of Directors of the World Bank Global Partnership for Education, scheduled to convene from 3-5 June. This significant meeting will bring together global education leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss strategies and make decisions aimed at strengthening education systems worldwide. The focus will be on advancing GPE’s mission to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all, particularly in developing countries.
