Her Excellency, Dr. Hajo Sani, with UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General Communication & Information – Dr Tawfik Jelassi, Minister of Communication and Institutional Relations of the Republic of Niger – M. Mahamadou Laoualy Dan Dano, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Niger to UNESCO – H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Aboubacar Abani, Yesterday, 5 September, 2022, at Diori Hamani International Airport, Niamey.
Her Excellency is attending the Regional Conference on Media and Migration Voices in West and Central Africa, jointly organized by UNESCO and the Government of Niger, with the support of the governmet of Italy, held at the Palais des Congrès in Niamey, from 6-8 September, 2022.
The Conference is aimed at “mobilizing the project’ stakeholders to exchange views and define strategies to foster the development of diversified narratives and an inclusive representation of human mobility in West and Central Africa” with a goal of “ensuring access to comprehensive information on migration and promoting regular migration and respect for the rights and dignity of migrants.”
