H.E. Dr. Hajo Sani, Ambassador, Permanent Delegate of Nigeria to UNESCO, was on Saturday, 27th August, 2022, honoured with the “Ordre de l’Aigla Nissarda” award, by the Mayor of the city of Nice, Mr. Christian Estrosi during the First Anniversary of the Inscription of Nice on UNESCO World Heritage list, held on 27th August, 2022.
The city which got inscribed last year, 27 July, 2021, is recognized as the “archetype of the winter resort town of the Riviera, influenced by its position on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and its proximity with the Alps.”
The event was attended by the Ambassador of France to UNESCO, H.E. Ms. Veronique Roger-Lacan as well as the Ambassadors to UNESCO of:
South Africa – H.E. Mr. Tebogo Seokolo,
Zambia – H.E. Ms. Christine Kaseba-Sata
Ethiopia – H.E. Mr. Henok Teferra Shawl
Rwanda – H.E. Mr. François-Xavier Ngarambe and;
Qatar – H.E. Mr. Nasser Hamad Hinzab
