On 29th October, 2022 the “Abuja Declaration on Global Financing of Media and Information Literacy: An Imperative to Fight Against Disinformation and Build Trust” was Adopted at the official closing of the 2022 UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Week, held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
The Declaration was read out by Mr. Grizzle Alton, Programme Specialist, Section for Media and Information Literacy and Media Development, UNESCO and adopted by acclamation of 65 UNESCO member states present physically and others who joined virtually.
